Our Team
Samantha Kata M.Ed.
I am Samantha Kata, and I am thrilled to finally see our long-time dream come to fruition. With a career in education spanning back to 2008, I've dedicated myself to shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning. I recognize that early exposure to employability training can improve a person’s earning potential. Beyond my professional endeavors, I've always had a passion for rescuing animals, a calling that has been ingrained in me for as long as I can remember.
Now, as I step into the role of Executive Director, I bring with me a wealth of experience, a deep-seated commitment to our cause, and an unwavering determination to make a tangible difference in the lives of both children and animals alike. I am truly honored to embark on this journey with such a dedicated team, and I look forward to the countless lives we'll touch and transform together.
Martin Kata B.S.
I am Martin Kata, and I am excited to merge my passion for animal rescue with the mission of Team GRETA. Following my teaching tenure in New Zealand, I made my way back to the United States in 2012, where I embarked on a new adventure as a United States Coast Guard helicopter rescue swimmer. Throughout my career, I've been driven by a profound desire to help others, whether it's through saving lives at sea or mentoring young individuals.
As I continued to volunteer as a mentor, I couldn't shake the realization of a significant gap in employability exposure within the realm of animal care. This insight fueled my determination to find a way to bridge this gap and provide opportunities for individuals to pursue their passions while making a positive impact on the lives of animals in need.
Joining Team GRETA allows me to blend my two passions seamlessly, and I am eager to leverage my experiences and expertise to further our mission of rescuing and caring for animals while empowering individuals to pursue fulfilling careers in animal welfare. I am honored to be part of such a dedicated team and look forward to the journey ahead.
Mr. Wallace
Hello All! My name is Mr. Wallace. I rescued my parents in 2020 while I was taking a stroll down the middle of a busy street in Houston, TX. As soon as I settled into my mom’s lap, I knew she needed me. Soon after joining the family, my mom discovered I had an affinity for working with kids, specifically kids with learning challenges. I look forward to continuing to use my skills to serve others.
